Who is Larry,

and why is he so happy?

A tour of British idioms.

Tour times: Wednesday & Saturday Morning

Ever seen someone show their true colours? Or felt a little under the weather? Phrases like this are as equal strange as they are fascinating, chances are, if you've told an anecdote you've said one of these. But how have these terms become so deeply baked into our vocabulary? And have you been inadvertently quoting Shakespeare this whole time?

On this tour, you'll discover the origins of these idioms and their connections to London's history. Our experienced guide, a true etymology enthusiast, will show you the sights, including famous landmarks and hidden side streets. The tour concludes in Borough Market just in time for lunch or an afternoon snack!

We'll be meeting outside a coffee shop, so if you arrive early, you could treat yourself to a nice coffee for the walk.

The tour will be entirely walking, so please wear comfortable shoes.

As we cannot predict the British weather, it will still be going ahead even if it's raining cats and dogs.
